Not bad, however...

I think you may be better off with normal infantry squads instead of vets. More bodis, especially as you are only facing scouts. You don't have any Heavy Bolters do you?

Please tell me you are fielding the Russes as separate units, and not a squadron.

Otherwise, quite a nic army.

Duh! Though I'm starting to consider just using my Ultrazombies for the games against my mate, I'll likely do something big with my Grots after my mechanicus cult army is completed.

Command Squad with Medi-Pack, Banner, 2 bodyguards.
15 Veterans with 6 Meltas and 3 Plasma guns (this were my best drop troops so now I'm unsure what to do with them now?
Grot Ninja (A suitable model for Sly Marbo who I want to include in the new list)
20 Grenadiers with 4 plasma guns.
Platoon Command Squad with Missile Launcher and Banner.
4X Infantry Squads with Missile Launchers & Plasma guns.
10 Rough Riders
Hellhound/Chem Dog.
2 Sentinels with Missile Launchers.

1 Armoured Sentinel with Lascannon. (I have a further 2 that are unbuilt)
Manticore/Baslisk (Due to the look of my basilisk conversion it can easily represent a Manticore or Deathstrike)
Leman Russ Demolisher: 1 Heavy Bolter.
Leman Russ Battle Tank: 3 Heavy Bolters.

I do have the time to make perhaps 2 new units and a few extra models for the new army. But it will be a while before I have the cash and time to mechnize it and improve it's effectiveness with the new rules.

Hmm Grenadiers can also be vets iirc, anyway I wrote a quick list for you it may take 1 or 2 minor conversions, but I know you love converting so you can't moan about that, without further adooo:-

HQ

Command Squad
Master or ordnance, Officer of the Fleet.

Troops

Command platoon
Missile launcher.
Infantry Squad
Missile Launcher.
Infantry squad
Missile Launcher.

10 Veterans
3 Meltaguns, camo cloaks.

10 Veterans
3 Plasmaguns, camo cloaks.

10 Veterans
3 Plasmaguns, camo cloaks.

Fast Attack.

Scout Sentinel
Missile launcher, camo netting.

Scout Sentinel
Missile launcher, camo netting.

Banewolf
Extra armour.

Heavy Support.

Leman Russ Battle Tank
Battlecannon, 3 heavy bolters, Knight Captain Pask(Your Sly Marbo could be him).

Leman Russ Demolisher
Demolisher cannon, heavy bolter, extra armour.

Basilisk
Closed crew compartment.

Sorry I don't have the actual points costs with me, I wrote the list at home and this is going off memory.

Anyways it's Veteran heavy with their Camo cloaks giving you a 3+ cover save on all of the units. Camo netting gives your sentinels a bit of defence the Banewolf with their "on a 2+ you die" flamer is awesome. Pask on that Leman Russ will be rape, 9 hbs shots at bs 4 plus the ordnance will be funny. Maniticores are +++removed by the inquisition+++ imo, I quite like stuff like Medusas personally and the Demolisher is Okay a bit short-ranged so he needs extra armour really.

Take it or leave it, the best I can do with your current models so it won't cost you anymore money and is mildly competitive.

Thanks,

Lee

Well here a more mechanised list, though it would mean some serious remodelling in the army and dropping some of the nicer models, like the hellhound.

Command Squad: Master Of Ordnance, Master Of The Fleet, Regimental Standard, Camo Cloaks
Chimera – Extra Armour
(Drive up behind the mounted vet squads ready to give orders when they disembark)

Veteran Squad
– 3 Plasma guns, Camo Cloaks
Chimera – Extra Armour
Veteran Squad – 3 Meltaguns, Camo Cloaks
Chimera – Extra Armour
Veteran Squad – 3 Meltaguns, Camo Cloaks
Chimera – Extra Armour
(These 3 units are the main bulk of my force, though I don't know if they'll be just as effecive if they were split up?, also I like to know what weapons are best for the chimeras?)

Veteran Squad – 3 Plasma guns, carapace armour.
(These guys camp on an objective in my deployment area)

2 Scout Sentinels – 2 Missile Launchers
(Simple tank hunting unit)

Leman Russ – Camo Netting, 3 Heavy Bolters
(A Good solid support unit)

Manticore – Camo Netting
(I like the thought of laying down 3 ordnance templates a turn)

Total Pts: 1495
Total No: 47 ( 8 )
Kill Pts: 13

This low number of infantry in this list does has me worried, I’m really confused on what to do with these guys, it seems to be hard to match the effectiveness they had before the new codex came out whilst not completely changing the army's play style.

Looks good except the Manticore, see the comments I made above.
