On the chart I heard in the begining of the week Lincoln was only the 5th most Geeky city in the country.
Southampton was named as number 1. The city where I was born! Razz

That's probably still correct - Lincoln was called the geek capital of the north. I guess the other four are in the south.

If you listen to the guy on the news clip linked about he actually says Lincoln was 4th in the National Survey

so are we 4th or 5th Confused

Not that it really matters. Geek capital of the north is good enough for me!

It's 4th, but remember that the criteria for this award include numbers of internet cafes and libraries; not exactly the 'geekiest' things in the world.

The points is, that the original report made it to be a good thing, it is only the mdeoia that have made it out to be geeky.

And when you copnsider the sudden explosion in students in the last 10 years, it is not overly surprising.

Personally, I am proud of being a geek. Better geek than +++removed by the inquisition+++.
