It is an idea, I am going to playtest both lists and see how they work, I've got a few weeks worth of painting still before I have to commit to buying something.

Please define playing smart, Lee? Maybe you are suggesting limiting their exposure to enemy fire. I would be very shocked if I will need separate attack bikes, most armies don't contain that many heavy vehicles.

*Basically yeah, Gareth has 3x1 attack bikes in his marines and the killpoints they give away isn't an issue because of his strategy. Same with me and my WoN gaunts+Zoanthropes.
*Orks have loads of killpoints afaik all those 12 man boyz squads and trukks, deffkoptas, buggies, etc(well mech orks do at least).
*Most armies either have tanks or big creatures and mobile-twin-linked multi-meltas are good vs both.

Why not split the difference and have 1 squad of 1 and 1 squad of 2?

Cheers,

With Hestan they're likely not to miss, maximising casualties basically.

Thanks,

Lee

Hiya,

I run a Salamanders army too (mainly themed for planetstrike defense but works pretty well in cities of death etc too) and its fairly close to what you have there if i'm honest.

I like your list and would suggest that a Thunderfire canon would seriously beef up your anti nids / horde capability.

Sure the cannon itself is a glass cannon but the template heaven is nice
