Top whack, 192mph!
Salerno-Reggio Calabria Autostrada, for those thinking of popping over to Sicily and thrashing the nuts off their Fiat Panda hire car!
But, the Krauts can't let the Whops beat them!

225mph!
The Laughing Policeman - Austrian stylee!

"Even on trials, patrol cars have noticed that the country's motorists are reluctant to take them on"
Meanwhile, over T'Pond.

"In San Diego officers are using a custom made police car with integrated shotgun mounts and a top speed of 155mph"
If they can't catch you, they just shoot you instead!
So, what can us Brits bring to the party?

unfortunatly typical of our limp-fish police force that seems to spend more time pandering to minorities, getting embroiled in scandals and over-zealously persuing minor crime than anything else these days. That said at least they'll be able to find a parking space easier than the others :D .

The UK car does have the advantage that it can actually chase you through your house (if you don't get your mates to tip it over that is).

what would be the point of the brits having a super car? we are the Vogons of the world "suspect travelling at 100mph sir"
"pass me the form to change into 5th gear, then submit the one to turn the lights on"
"and i'll keep a record sir, so we can save time writing the report later back at the station sir!"
"steady on lad! you cant rush your paperwork, we'll get screwed by the CPS!"
"you swore sir"
"pass the apology form while your then then!"

We do have quite a few quick Police vehicles in the UK to be honest.

Lincs alone runs a Subaru WRX although it's only running around 230bhp...

When we lived up north near Newcastle, they had undercover Honda Fireblades, tuned by HM Plant, Honda's racing division, they were good for 200+

They also have a fleet of 3 EVO 8 - 9's marked/unmarked... Although having said all of the above, after speaking with said Subaru copper at a track day at Cadwell, they informed me on certain roads they "aren't allowed to pursue due to the danger to the public" So they have a car that is capable of less than 5 seconds to 60 and is good for around 150+ but can't pursue you if you go flying past at 100+??? A15 was highlighted at the time...

Errr.... yes.... had a CBR600 about 5/6 years ago, got stopped on the A69 near Hexham at about 3am with the mrs on the back when we were on our way back from France, roads were deserted and I just wanted to get home, copper followed me for about 5 miles doing 99, wasn't going to pull me, but on the last stretch of dual carriageway I was stupid enough to open it up, got clocked at 145... Really stupid thing to do...

Copper was reasonable though, he recognised the fact the roads were deserted, it was 3am and my riding was ok, so he let me off with 3 points and £60! I was VERY lucky and learnt a good lesson that day...

Although it was a VERY long time ago lol...

Having said all of the above, he was in a Volvo! Suffice to say my speed is now reserved for the track
