Right thanks to (myself) I have my Mimbari Fleet, YAY for stealth, try and shoot me now! HAHAHAHAHA

Phase 1: Buy Models (COMPLETE)
Phase 2: Construct Fleet (COMPLETE)
Phase 3: Undercoat Fleet (COMPLETE)
Phase 4: Paint Fleet (PARTIALLY COMPLETE) Looking Nice!!!
Phase 5: Base Fleet
Phase 6: Beat Wil at a NON Campaign Game

Painting:
I have taken a good look at the models on the mongoose forum and customer galleries I have decided I want to stay as true as possible to the Mimbari Ships on the show, so i am going to go through these phases.

1) Base Coat Black
2) Dust models with white spray to accent the highlights and leave the recesses dark.
3) Ink Coat 50/50 blue ink with water with a tiny amount of PVA glue.
4) Ink Coat 50/50 Green ink with water with a tiny amount of PVA glue.
5) Highlight Drybush (very light) with white / blue ink (75/25) to accent the highlights.

Hopefully this will leave me with really dark & light toned ships that will emphasise the ships detail! One Hopes anyway!

That's the plan, will update as going along.

I had the great idea of doing fancy bases to go with my fleet, so I have decided to paint starfields on my bases with maybe one or 2 nebula effects, hopefully this will set them off really nicely against the simplicity of my fleet colour scheme!

Anyone have any idea's or advice on doing a nebula effect, I am toying with the idea of stippling but I am not sure if this will work?

I am going to do the same with my fighter bases too! On the normal bases I think I am going to mark on the turning arcs too!

What do folks think?
