Well I heard on the grape vine that they were actually losing money on this range. I guess they are still hoping this Hobbit movie might see the light of day.
Well if you like these models then fair enough. Personally I would prefer to give a child a lump of plasticine for a few minutes and give them some pocket money. Then give GW any money for there models.

Apparently, the LotR range is the real monet maker for GW.

They are still riding well on the movie, and a lot of the kids buy it, but this is what is stopping GW from considering selling up.

So, if for no other reason, you should be grateful to the game.

Cool, so LOTR is doing well according to some, to others they have heard its not selling too good. Some people like the system for its simplicity and others so they smash its figures beyond oblivion. Cool

Whether you like LOTR or not, its all friendly opinion, with no right or wrong answers. so I hope no one is annoyed or upset by whats been posted here. We all have our opinions on what makes a great game, and that is the true bedrock of the gaming community, we all agree that "the" game, or games we have chosen to play are the best, and i dont think we would have it any other way !!, otherwise the gaming community would be a very boring place, at least most of us can agree on that !!

I was all ready to buy it, and it was suggested in the shop that I play a demo game, and since Anna was with me, I played a game against her.

She won.

The game is therefore rubbish, and I didn't buy it.

Note to sales people. Let the person buying the game win.

Am i to understand that you're saying you don't like the game because you got beaten in one battle?

Do you take this approach to every game you play? It seems a mite childish to me.

And here I thought playing with toy soldiers was a mite childish anyway.

Perhaps now you can leave off the personal attacks. Please and Thank you.

No problem, after all we can all be forgiven for a misunderstanding.

And it is also nice to be able to act our shoe size instead of age once in a while. (As I did when I didn't buy LoTR)

In all honesty I was debating the purchase, played it, didn't like it, didn't buy it.
