Well guys here the results of Open War today … 40k3rd – *Nick Langrick: Orks4th – Mike Purvis: Eldar 6th – *Mark Brustall: Necrons 14th – *Ben Martin: Orks24th – Adam Calver: Daemons 35th – Tony Burgess: Space Wolves 42th – Phil Croft: Space Marines 45th – *Harry Allen: Chaos Space Marines(* not sure who these guys were, perhaps some mercenaries we recruited anyway thanks to those guys we came ranked 4th)And Adam Gallon came 11th in the WFB tournament. Sadly I didn’t win best army so I was a tad bit down…. For a second then I won the best ‘Big Mek Conversun Award’ Also as an extra bonus for the day both me and toad have recieved invites to have our armies put on display in the Hall Of Miniatures at Warhammer World!

Well done guys. Especially Mike and Adam for a good finish and a nice trophy.
Wooden spoon for Pip. Bad luck.
Looking forward to all the tales of woe and victory.

Well done to Gobstyks for another Good performance. Well done Adam and Toad. Adam I take it you have told Warhammer World that you had assistance with your Army and your friend will be getting a mention at Warhammer world aswell? he is a good modeller and deserves some credit. Very well done for all the hardwork and the leg work for the overal project. Finally well done to Mr Purvis for a very high place once again are you going to be able play me this week.

Of course I will mention Matthew's assistance with the 'Deathstalker' models just like I have on all my logs and to the 1st company vets. So do you have to bring up that matter up everytime you comment on my armies?

Is its some good work Adam! and you're maturing better as a gamer perhaps you should do an article on how you made/painted them for the website?

I will close the matter Adam now and not mention it again. But it is not fair to gain accolades for things that are not your own. You work very hard on your Models for that I commend you. There are many great conceptual artists out there which you are becoming. I am going to close this matter now and not come back to it.

You don't have to, use the wiki website, that is what it is there for.
And so long as you have rudimentary copy and paste skills, it is simple. Use somebody elses page as a template and modify it.

That aside. Who are the non gobstyks members and more importantly who 'recruited' them?

I recruited them. They had left a message on the Warhammer Forum, saying how they had been left without a team, and as we were so small, I offered them a place on our team.
I did leave a message on this forum, but no one answered, so I assumed that was a vote of indifference.
And besides, it is a team tournament, so it is not as much fun if you are not in a team.

Just thought i should mention that when the comments about us needing to improve were posted..
I was a single dice roll from gaining the full 25 points for my last game (to see if there was turn 6) as the guy had a single model left, and i had almost all of my army to shot it with.
That would of meant i had more points than michael, which would of put me 3rd or 4th!
Also, i havent seen the results board yet, but have a feeling that my points werent added up correctly. To end up 35th with 50.5/75 (2 wins and a draw) seems a bit odd.
Anyway, i had a great time and the space wolf skimmer army really seemed to give people pause. Also managed to make it back for the halloween party i was going to!

Yeah, I came 42nd with 25 pts, so I think you were also diddled.
