Hi!
The Rules Pack is nearly done (fingers crossed) and will be online on Monday August the 1st and can be found on our web site www.1stcompanyveterans.net but here is a little info for you.

WH40K - will be staying the same as last time round, 1750pts no holds bar as long as its legal.
WHFB - 1999pts no special / named characters or champions
Epic - 3000pts as last time
Blood Bowl - as last time

We are also hosting the YBBL Final this year which has eaten away at some of the tables, therefore we will only have 12 general BB places available (3 tables). We need at least 6 players to run it any less and we may have to cancel that system for this event.

Ticket price remains the same £15 this includes, Coffee & doughnuts in the am, rost dinner and hot pub at lunch, 3 games, trophies & awards, random raffle with lots of prizes and also a nice donation to Macmillan Cancer Trust on behalf of the winning team.

Teams must have a min of 5 players but there is no max

As it’s on Halloween fancy dress is encouraged and we will have a best outfit prize.

Tickets can be purchased on our site as of the 10th August via paypal as last time.

If you want any further information please check the above website for updates or contact me at openwar@hotmail.co.uk

Cheers and hope to see you there

Matt Shaw

Come on Guys, its a really good tournament, and we need to represent Gobstyks. We only have four members entered so far, so please, show some support.

40k is nearly sold out (for the time being, they will probably re-assign some of the other places), but theres only a couple in fantasy.

I'm in for fantasy

So should be funny if nothing else (if able to go in end and with no practice between now and then - heehee)

If they want WFB players, then they need to let us bring our toys and play 2000 points.

Then talk to Matt Shaw, remember last year when they banned Lash Princes, and people complained and they relented.

It doesn't hurt to ask.

AS we've sold more than ten tickets for fantasy (the names will be updated in the next day or so) we won't be relenting on this.

The decision was taken after extensive feedback after OWXI - the 1999 limit has been set to ensure a more level playing field without the hassle of comping WFB to death - something that none of the organisors felt comfortable with.

I'm sorry if you feel we've 'taken your toys away' but you could see it as a challenge - how can you fare with a restricted toybox?

They're sold out at the mo, but no doubt they shall be releaseing some from the other systems.

Just send them a message noting you want putting on the reserve list.

42 shade death star with ASF BSB, MR3 hero, ring of miscast hero, assassin.
3 cheap core units.
War Hydra.

1999 points.
Cheese and filth.

Reducing the points limit inno way reduces the cheese. Just play open war, no limits.

I'm sorry you feel like that - but we won't be budging on this - I have to say we've had more positive than negative comments around this.

Sorry - we can't please everybody!
