I don't particularly like the new Battlewagon kit. The kit itself is great, but it doesn't look like what a Battlewagon should look like, in my mind.

So, like all great Big Meks, I have decided to use what I have got in my bits box, and build two of my own.

The first one is my Assault Battlewagon.

And then some further work.

So the idea is it is an open topped Battlewagon to carry my Nobs and Warboss. There is going to be a second deck at the back, in front of that will be the killkannon, and the drivers kab will be at the side, above the tracks.

Then, my second Battlewagon is going to be my shooty one.



There will be a big gun in the front of the Battlewagon, and then a fighting platform on top. This one will be sat at the back of my lines, holding 12 Lootas, who, as it is open topped, will all get to shoot, while in relative safety.

I really love the first one. It's very reminiscent of WW2 landing craft. I can imagine it piling into the enemy, the big metal door dropping down (maybe crushing a couple of poor marines in the process) before letting the green monsters out to play. Very nice.

It might benefit from the tracks being set a bit further back and some big spiky crushing wheels added to the front.

It would be a nice idea, if it wasn't all stuck firmly in place. <aybe a Deff Rolla would be nice instead.

That is all the first one is, a big box on tracks designed to get da boyz into combat.
