This is the pitched battle round.

Now, you can either play as 1x2000 points or 2x1000 points.

You can record two results against any other single faction. (Obviously you will want two wins to give you the biggest possible army for round 5)

The faction with highest win percentage of all games played will have choice of opponent in the first battle of round 5.

Here ye all,

The passes of Ulthuan have, at great cost of life to the invaders, been forced open. The hordes of evil, the forces of Naggaroth and the Old World Alliance have all poured out into the plains beyond.

Meeting this advance are the defending forces of Ulthuan.
These resolute defenders have been given plenty of time to prepare for the assault, so much time it seems they have been able to raise an entire brood of dragons to aid their cause.

The clashing of steel on steel, the cries of death, despair and chagrin echo across the island realm. The bright energies of magic mix with the plooms of gunfire smoke and flashes of pyrotechnic brilliance.

Before the month is out, the first battles will be fought. The first of many.
Muster your forces on then, and meet upon the plains of battle on Thursday 29th May, or cry coward and darken the realm of Ulthuan no more.

Can all campaign players who wish to remain in the campaign have completed a 2000 point pitched battle, including their named character from round 1 in their army if possible, on or before the last day of May.

The final club night is 29th May for the first battle to be played.

It looks as though most of the forces of darkness have left Ulthuan.

I'll adapt the campaign to fit the smaller, dedicated bunch of players who wish to continue.

Those who do, let me know either by e-mail or pm and I'll write something more suitable. Perhaps a ladder or tree campaign that can get the narrative going for the half dozen or so that have actually continued to play.
